If you’ve spent more than 5 minutes with you, you probably know I have a deep love for people from other countries. I’ve been fascinated by culture for years! I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to a few other countries and hope once our kiddos get older, we can hit some more. So naturally when Kate contacted me from Australia about their Wyoming elopement in the Grand Tetons, I was more than excited. I would check my email even more often to see if Kate had written me back after Skyping to book her date. I may have done a little happy dance in my office when they did book.
The day with them didn’t disappoint. They were incredible souls from the moment we stepped into their hotel room.
James and Kate came to Jackson Lake Lodge alone to say I do in front of the Grand Tetons. This elopement was incredibly romantic. There were 5 of us on the banks of the river that day to witness the I dos and my second shooter and I were their witnesses. As their friends and family half way around the world slept, these two chose to spent the rest of their lives together. As the rain sprinkled ever so lightly, James and Kate were married.
It was beautiful.
And even though it was incredibly romantic, of course in true Kelly K form, we had fun. I’m begging that they come back to the states and come up to Glacier for some fly fishing so we can hang out more! These guys were truly amazing to be around and I’m one happy photographer!
Special thanks to Susannah DeAngelo my second shooter out of Rexburg, Idaho. She was INCREDIBLE! We met online while I was looking for an assistant for this wedding and I couldn’t have been blessed more with an awesome partner for the day. If you are in that area, I HIGHLY recommend this talented woman! Check her out! http://www.susannahdeangelo.com/
